Elder Madsen and Elder Nielsen are the APs and we spend alot of time working in the office together. They are great guys. We fixed dinner for them and they insisted on doing the dishes.
Some of the Elders in our Soweto East Zone were being transferred so we had to say goodbye. My camera makes it loook like we're in a cultural hall but it's the Leavitt's apartment.
Elder Reeve is from Hurricane, Utah - a great guy and great missionary.

There are camels in South Africa. They were giving rides at a craft market. We were tempted but didn't.

We had a farewell party for Sister Bailey (center back) who was called to do convert baptism entries 6 years ago and was recently released.
On the first of October, we took over the missionary apartments - leasing, moving in and out, furnishing, repairing, etc. These are our first four elders we moved into new flats. They were very happy with their new homes.
The Jacaranda trees are in bloom all over Johannesburg. Their purple blossoms give everything a happy colorful coat of paint. This is at the Sandton Chapel where all of the missionaries met with Elder Holland
Doctor and Sister Callahan have been great to work with but they left for St. George last Friday. We will miss them but a new doctor will arrive and take his place

What a privilege to be able to shake hands with an apostle. He gave the most uplifting, motivational, and inspirational talk a missionary could ever hear. I don't know how we could work any harder, but he made us want to make every minute of our mission count and have it be life changing. Most of all he made us feel so grateful that we are involved in this great work and blessed to be here in the South Africa Johannesburg Mission. He gave great compliments to the mission president and his missionaries and we are proud to be part of them.
